Can I have my event inside Stripers?
Yes, with a buyout of the restaurant, maximum of 50 people, private event to include the riverside lawn.
How many people can you host for an outdoor event?
Tented events up to 150 guests - includes riverside lawn & Striper’s restaurant is closed, your required to rent all 20 guestrooms at the Inn with a 2-night minimum from May to October.
It is a private event, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm day of the event. Tent is used rain or shine.
Lawn event – up to 50 guests - portion of the riverside lawn, not private, rain back up is our event space “The Tavern.”
Can I have a dinner party inside Stripers Restaurant? It does not need to be private.
You can make a reservation up to 10 guests for lunch or dinner at Stripers, more than 10 guests require booking an event space: The Tavern (up to 50 guests) or The Living Room (up to 20 guests). You can call the sales office at 207-361-8755 to inquire about event space.
Can anyone come sit at the Adirondack chairs for food or drink?
Adirondack chairs, Stripers Riverside, are reservation only for a 2-hour period. Reservations for Adirondack chairs are accepted by phone only - 207-967-3118.
Reservations for Stripers inside seating is done online with Open Table.

What is your weather contingency (backup) plan for outdoor spaces?
If it is a tented event, the ceremony & reception takes place under the tent.
If it is a lawn event up to 50 guests, the Tavern is the rain back up space.
Can we have our rehearsal dinner here? What about a morning-after mimosa brunch?
Yes, if the date is available, you can book your rehearsal dinner. It is booked as a separate event and will require a separate contract.
We do not offer day after brunches. A Continental breakfast is included with room rate and is served inside Stripers restaurant from 8 am to 10 am.
Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?
The wedding party usually rents rooms at the Inn. The Cottage is customarily rented by the wedding couple and used by the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. It has a kitchen, double sink bathroom, with a large living room area and sits on the river.
Do you offer a rehearsal the day prior to the wedding? How much time is allocated for the rehearsal?
Yes, if your wedding is on a Saturday, Stripers is open to the public on Friday evening. We have the wedding rehearsal on a portion of the lawn. This takes place at approximately 3:30/4:00 pm the day prior and needs to be schedule not more than 30 days from your event. It takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
Can I have a Welcome Reception?
If we have an event space available, it will require a contract with a 50-person maximum, plus a food and beverage minimum, all events end at 10:00 pm.
How many hours does the rental fee include, and is there an overtime fee if I stay longer?
Weddings – 5 hours - not including ceremony.
Social event – 2-3 hours
All events, regardless of being inside or outside, must end by 10:00 pm.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
No, we are an historic property and grandfathered, so we do not have any handicap bathrooms or guestrooms, we do have rooms on the first floor of the Inn with a ramp into the lobby.
How would we reserve a date? Is there any way we can put a hold on a date now? We're hoping to book soon!
Once you request a contract, we put a temporary hold on the date, you have 5 days to return the contract accompanied with a deposit.
How much is the deposit, when is it due, and is it refundable?
Event deposits are 50% of the estimated total, they are due at contract signing, all payments are non-refundable.
Can we have our pets be at our ceremony? Wedding?
No, the only pets allowed are service dogs with proper paperwork.
What is included in the event space fee?
For a tented event - The Riverside Lawn, pre-day set up of the tent, day of event, following day removal of the tent, 10- 60” round tables, 50 white garden chairs, setup of 2nd bar, use of Stripers Restaurant from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm day of event, plate ware, flatware for up to 150, 2 bars of glassware for 150 and set up of 50 white garden chairs for a ceremony. As well as set up of chairs and additional tables to be used for your event.
What is included in the Food & Beverage minimum?
The food selected for your event includes appetizers, multi-courses, and a beverage package. Tax, service charge and overnight guest rooms are not included in the minimum.
Do you provide the tent?
No – Sperry tents provides our tents to our clients.
Is there a food & beverage minimum?

Can I hire my own vendors or is there a preferred vendor list we need to stick to?
We will supply you with our preferred vendor list, if you have your own vendors, they will need to be approved by the sales department prior to hiring and provide certificate of insurance
